Nyheden is a 7-9 school with about 214 students. Änge is a F-9 school with 250 students. We work closely together to create holistic solutions for the students. Our work is based on the student's opportunity for development and learning throughout the day. We have a high percentage of qualified teachers and we strive for a good working environment for both students and staff. Our schools work purposefully with knowledge, safety, and well-being.

The Department of Education and Child Care has about 800 employees. The department's activities extend across the entire municipality and include preschool, primary school F-9, adapted primary school, after-school care, food and cleaning services, mother tongue education, and library services.

A Day as a Spanish Teacher

As a Spanish teacher, you will meet engaged students and colleagues who want to move forward together. You will plan and implement teaching based on clear goals and shared structures - always with the student's learning in focus.

In several classes, we work with co-teaching, which means you plan and teach together with a colleague. This provides more support for students, greater flexibility in teaching, and good opportunities for collegial learning.

The day may include everything from joint presentations and problem-solving in pairs, to laboratory elements and digital work. You will follow up on students' knowledge development and work closely with both mentors and student health to create the best possible conditions for learning.

Collaboration within work teams is a natural part of our daily routine. We share experiences, plan common themes, and support each other in developing teaching.

Your Competence

Requirements:

• Teaching degree with qualification to teach Spanish in grades 7-9
• Good ability to create structure, concentration, and engagement in the classroom
• Ability to adapt teaching based on students' different needs and conditions
• Good collaboration skills and willingness to contribute to the school's joint development work
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious Qualities:

• Subject combination with SVA or English
• Experience teaching in secondary school
• Experience in assessment, grading, and digital learning tools
• Experience working with formative teaching and collegial learning
• Interest in development work, equity, and student influence
